Do you expect the village green office to stay open during an emergency? Even the city closes offices.
The city of St. Petersburg has declared a state of emergency ahead of Tropical Storm Helene, giving Mayor Ken Welch expanded authority to issue special orders to ensure public safety. Along with the state of emergency, the city is closing its facilities on Wednesday and Thursday, including Sunken Gardens and all city buildings.

The Pier will close Wednesday afternoon, and trash and recycling schedules have been altered.
