SUGAR PLUM RECIPE (full printable recipe also on our website: https://www.crowdedkitchen.com/sugar-plums/)

(Makes 12-16)

1/2 cup prunes, chopped
1/4 cup dried apricots or dates, chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
1/2 cup toasted, unsalted almonds, chopped
1/4 cup toasted, unsalted pecans, chopped
2 tablespoons cherry jam
3/4 tsp orange zest
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp cardamom
Pinch salt
1/2 cup coarse sugar for coating

Chop all of the dried fruit finely. Add the fruit and nuts to a food processor and pulse until finely chopped. Add all remaining ingredients (except sugar) and pulse again until the mixture is stick and comes together.

Use a 1 tbsp cookie scoop to portion out the plums, then shape into an oval. Optional: use a toothpick to make an indentation on the front. Roll in sugar and (optional) stick a little rosemary sprig in the top as a stem. Enjoy!

Easy, delicious, and festive, these Sugar Plums are a unique treat to make this holiday season!

May it not be like this for those who have to work retail.....and if you do
(1) Pace yourself
(2) Stay Hydrated
(3) ANY rude customer do NOT hesitate to get your manager, you are there to do a job not to be abused cause some dumb ass feels it’s their privilege to belatale you but at the same time REMEMBER give the best Customer Service you can
(4) Make sure you eat and have fuel to make it through THIS day. You are not going to be any good to your team during a rush if you pass out.
(5) You CAN do this and survive!!!

NOW TO THE CUSTOMERS
(1) BE PATIENCE with associates working. Doing the best we can even though it’s annoying YOU. The register can only scan so much, the associate can only wrap so fast, and if you bring a huge ass order up its just going to take as long to get you done.
(2) PLEASE PLEASE try to be nice to any associate you encounter. Most are working and don’t have the luxury of having the time they want with their families like you do because working this job pays the bills and puts food on the table. Don’t yell just because you need something and can’t find it, chances are if you ask I am more willing to help you find it.
(3) DO NOT LET YOUR CHILD ACT LIKE AN ANIMAL on this day! This is the most busiest day of the shopping year. Store is crowed and associates are running around like a chicken with their heads cut off and nothing is scarier than having to call a Code Adam or having to say something broke because of an accident and someone got hurt. THE STORE IS NOT A PLAYGROUND OR THE ZOO so don’t let your kids do whatever they damn well please.
(4) Breathe and stay hydrated yourself. Often it can get hot and packages can get heavy. Pace yourself and when about 3rd person from cashier start getting any coupons (paper & smart phone apps), form of payments, and your order ready to go for the cashier so we can give the best service possible and help get you on the way faster.
