Urban Kai Stand-Up Paddle Board Shop offers lessons, tours, fitness classes and sales for stand up paddle boarding (aka SUP). It’s the latest recreational, low impact, and fun activity to get into top shape! It looks like the miracle of “walking on water” but you are actually floating on water while standing up and paddling. Standing on a board that can range between 9-14 feet, you paddle over bod

ies of water, and whoever experiences it gets hooked. If you’re looking for an intense core and upper-body workout, this is it. Balancing on the board works your core muscles and paddling hits every muscle through your arms, legs, abdominals and back. Additionally, exercising outdoors lets you enjoy hours of peace and quiet along with taking in your beautiful surroundings. Floating on water, you can watch the sunrise or sunset, feel the calm sea breeze and watch amazing marine life pass underneath you. Whether you want to explore the mangrove tunnels of Weedon Island or launch out our backdoor on the river and explore downtown Tampa like you have never seen it before, Urban Kai has you covered! Our second shop location is at Armature Works at 310 West 7th Ave.

Urban Kai is looking for a Part-Time Paddle Tour Guide for our Gandy location in St. Petersburg.
🚣 Lead kayak and paddleboard eco tours through beautiful mangrove trails
🐬 Share Tampa Bay's incredible wildlife and ecosystems with guests
🌞 Work outdoors in a fun, active environment
📅 Flexible schedule
Requirements:
✅ Experience paddling both stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and kayaks
✅ Comfortable speaking with and leading groups
✅ Friendly, reliable, and customer-focused
✅ Ability to work weekends and holidays
While previous guiding experience is a plus, we're willing to train the right person on tour routes, safety procedures, and customer experience expectations.
