Scotland meets Salem🖤🏴🪄
We are incredibly honored to welcome Claire Mitchell KC and Zoe Venditozzi, founders of Witches of Scotland to Nocturne during their visit to Salem, Massachusetts ✨
Join us Tuesday, September 22 from 8:30 to 10am for a special morning of coffee, conversation, and community as we welcome Claire and Zoe to the Witch City.
Witches of Scotland began in 2020 as a campaign seeking justice and recognition for the nearly 4,000 people, predominantly women, who were accused of witchcraft in Scotland between 1563 and 1736. Their work has centered around three goals: a legal pardon, a formal apology, and a national memorial for those persecuted under Scotland’s Witchcraft Act.
Claire and Zoe are also the voices behind the Witches of Scotland podcast and the authors of How to Kill a Witch, exploring the history of the Scottish witch trials and what that history can still teach us today.
Having them here in Salem, a city with its own complicated history of witchcraft accusations and a responsibility to remember those who were persecuted, feels particularly meaningful.

Copies of How to Kill a Witch will be available for purchase at Nocturne during the event, with the opportunity to have your copy signed by Claire and Zoe.
