Debudding dried lavender does not have to be done in a fancy machine. You simply take your dried bouquets and roll them between your two hands. I like to do it over a bowl, bag or other container. You can run it through a mesh colander or some screens to further remove the debris.

Come see us today! We are allowing U-PICK today on our Buena vista. $9/bunch or if we cut it’s $12. We have tons of plants blooming for sale so if you want to see what they will look like before we trim them, now is a great time. Candles & lotion bars are restocked. We also restocked our lip balm :) and in case you got a berry pass, we are seconds from Fordyce Farm down the road.

We are open 10-5pm today! I am opening up our Buena Vista lavender to U-PICK today. I never do this but being third trimester pregnant, I’ve come to terms with the fact I need to share the love of our deep purple blooms this year 🤣💜🥰. It’s $9/bunch. Come check in at our gift shop and you’ll be using our cutters so please leave yours at home. We also will be serving lavender lemonades all day!

These lotion bars are better than before and the best part, is that not just the lavender, but the Calendula was grown on our farm. We reformulated the recipe last year and finally had a chance to make it and try it out. The glide alone is AMAZING and your skin will thank you! Calendula deeply moisturizes the skin barrier, locking in hydration to combat flakiness and dryness, it is also anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antibacterial and antiseptic.Calendula is rich in flavonoids and linoleic acid, which help calm red, irritated skin. It is excellent for managing symptoms of eczema, dermatitis and other skin conditions. I fell in love with it years ago when I realized it was main ingredient in our favorite diaper cream. If you want to see all studies, Google the National Institutes of Health and Calendula. But Calendula combined with our Lavender’s wonderful properties, and scented with a soft vanilla, make for the best lotion bar we’ve found. Now available in our gift shop.

In case you didn’t know, lavender comes in all shades of purple, purplish blues, whites and yes, even PINKS! Currently we have at least five varieties of pink lavenders. Many of which are great culinary varieties! Check out our June open hours. :)

June is here, and lavender season is almost in full bloom!

Our soft opening begins this week and runs through June 19th. During this time, the farm will be open Wednesday–Saturday from 10am–5pm.

Stop by and enjoy:
• Fresh lavender bouquets
• Lavender drinks and treats
• Our nursery filled with lavender and herbs
• Gift shop
• Playground

Please note that we will be closed Saturday, June 20th for a private wedding celebration.

Then the excitement really begins!

Season Kickoff Week starts June 23rd, when our lavender fields officially open for the season. U-Pick lavender begins, the fields open to guests, and our full lavender season experience kicks off!

Beginning June 23rd, our summer hours will be:

Tuesday–Saturday | 10am–5pm
Sunday | 12pm–4pm

We will remain open through the bloom season and into the end of July.

Whether you’re coming for U-Pick, a lavender lemonade, shopping in the gift shop, attending a workshop, or simply enjoying the beauty of the fields, we can’t wait to welcome you back for another wonderful lavender season.

A few friendly reminders:
• While we love animals, please leave pets at home.
• Photographers must schedule photo sessions with us in advance. Please reach out before bringing clients to the farm.
• Our fields are a working farm. Please stay on designated paths and help us keep the lavender beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Sometimes larger varieties will have stems that are too heavy for the size of the plant when they are younger. Knowing when and how to trim them, can help prevent breakage!
