The process:
1️⃣1st coat Blue Max® Liquid Rubber basecoat
2️⃣2ndcoat Blue Max® Liquid Rubber basecoat
3️⃣1st coat Maximum-Stretch® UV-stable topcoat
4️⃣2nd coat Maximum-Stretch® UV-stable topcoat

Note: Make sure to properly prepare the surface prior to coating. For this roof, a thorough pressure wash did the job. Ames Contouring Roof Fabric was used on seams, protrusions, and other problematic areas.

Blue Max® and Maximum-Stretch® make a strong pairing because they each handle a different part of the job:
✅ Blue Max® acts as the waterproofing basecoat, creating a seamless, flexible liquid rubber membrane over the properly prepared roof surface.

Watch as we apply a maintenance coat to a roof with Ames Premium Roof Armor

The roof has absorbed a lot of dirt over the years, so our first step will be to do a thorough pressure wash. One of the best things about Ames Premium Roof Armor compared to the previous coating used on this roof is that it has superior dirt pick-up resistance

Now it’s time to coat it with Ames Premium Roof Armor. You’re going to want to apply it on a day that’s between 50 and 90 degrees fahrenheit and make sure your surface has thoroughly dried.

We’re using a Grayco 833 airless sprayer on this, but there’s a wide variety of airless sprayers that will work with Premium Roof Armor. And of course, you can roll or brush it on as well, just depends on your project.

Ames Premium Roof Armor coverage rate is 80 sqft per gallon. That’s about 10 DFT per coat, we recommend doing at least two coats for ultimate protection.

There you have it, a restored roof that reflects UV rays to save you money on cooling costs!
