This Leicester Longwool was dyed in my gorgeous Reflecting Pool colorway, and I’m absolutely loving the sage, navy, and soft greens. I can already picture all those shifting colors flowing through the finished fabric!

The wool is from The Woolstead Co • Michigan Fiber Mill and has a beautiful, lustrous long staple with a soft, decadent feel. I think it’s going to make an incredible sweater, and I’ll be sharing the journey along the way. 🥰

This med-long staple wool drafts with ease and has just enough structure to make spinning feel effortless—perfect for beginners and beyond. It’s also wonderfully light, warm, and next-to-skin soft when knit up. Wild Aster is a rich mix of plum, violet, berry, mauve, and warm peach — dyed on springy 100% Cheviot wool. Cheviot is such a fun fiber to spin. At 29 microns with a 4–5 inch staple, it has plenty of lustre and bounce and works beautifully for a super smooth spin. This is an excellent fiber for beginners, you will enjoy this easy draft💜

A little peek behind the scenes at Watercolor Wool 💕

How fun are these braids that I am packing for an order today? I never get tired of all the colors and combos my customers order. Also, a little glimpse of my office. My fiber and handmade items really make me happy and it’s nice to be able to display them. Can’t wait to share my basement dye studio, but it’s currently a WIP.
