ife and I were sleeping and a storm rolled though. A lightning bolt struck very close to our house and tripped one of our window sensors. At that point I had awoken to a huge crash sound and my burglar alarm blaring. I froze and didn’t know what to do. I had put alarms in my whole life, but never thought of what to do if it ever went off. Later that week I made an action plan of what to do in case of an alarm and part of that plan was to purchase my first gun. I did research and found that the only place that I could buy a handgun was pawn shops and the sporting stores. I didn’t want to buy a used gun so I stated at the sporting store. They had a minimal amount of personal defense handguns. So I tried the pawn shops. While there were more guns there, I didn’t know what I needed. When I asked questions I felt like they looked down on me for not knowing and while they would sell me a gun that was the end of their service for me. So I bought a gun! But didn’t know how to use it. I was uncomfortable with it and while I had it, I didn’t want to touch it because I was afraid I would misfire it. At that point I did as much research I could and was lucky enough to meet people that were good teachers and were willing to take the time to show me how to properly use a firearm. But what about people that want to defend themselves and their family that were born on a farm or have the resources to learn how to use a weapon. And with that idea came the conception of a not a fi****ms store, but a total personal defense store. Not only to sell fi****ms but to teach people how to use them and have products available that a person would need to use the firearm properly.
