The Goodwill Central Coast chapter, a private 501(c)3 non-profit organization, began in 1928 in the city of Santa Cruz and today has expanded into three counties: Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo. Goodwill Central Coast employs over 600 people in Santa Cruz, Monterey, and San Luis Obispo County, including employment training professionals, sales personnel, donation center attendants, warehouse and distribution workers, and administrators. Goodwill believes that everyone deserves the chance to join their team, which is why Goodwill Central Coast is an equal opportunity employer and an advocate for the Americans with Disabilities Act. To deliver their services, Goodwill relies on partnerships with federal and state workforce development agencies, as well as strong relationships with the local businesses that provide employment opportunities.

Waiting for a home and a bloom.

The vase wall at North Main is stocked. Green glass bottles, a blue jar, a ruby vase, that amber-and-cobalt statement piece, and a pair of frosted pink urns ready for a single stem or a whole bouquet.

One bouquet. One shelf. A second life for glass that still has plenty of shine left.

Goodwill Central Coast – Watsonville is already in Halloween mode, and the aisle is not playing around.

Scarecrows, wreaths, gnomes, pumpkins, and a costume rack that keeps going. Starting your spooky shopping now means the good stuff is still on the floor, not picked over the week of the 31st.

Secondhand is the fun part. One person’s leftover porch decor becomes this year’s front door. A costume gets a second night out. Less new stuff made, less tossed after one party, and more of your money staying in the community. Donations here turn into jobs and local programs, so the jack-o’-lantern bucket is doing more than looking cute.

Come early. Leave with a cart. Watsonville is ready when you are.
