Let's talk sustainable, secondhand goods & CLEANING
How we care for, clean, and present our items for resale is an often overlooked but extremely crucial part of the sustainable shopping process.
Properly sanitizing and cleaning secondhand treasures insures they are safe, hygienic, and ready for you to enjoy.
When I find an item, I inspect immediately for any stains, odors, tears, or signs of uncleanliness.
I allow items a cooling off period, whether it be outdoors, my cellar or in a open, well ventilated area, I do not bring items into my home or into the studio, until they’ve had a chance to be cold cut or sun bleached, depending upon the item and season, and cleaned thoroughly.
Once items are sorted, they’re washed, dried, and disinfected appropriately.
NO CRUD. NO QUESTIONS.
All of our clothing and textiles materials are washed thoughtfully with every detail in mind.
From my pre wash soak that I’ve carefully curated to my high heat dry cycles and pressing.
Clothing and textiles are finished with a second wash cycle in Tyler detergent liquid. It’s my favorite and I adore the scent “DIVA.” One of my dear friends shared this product and scent with me a couple of years ago and let’s face it, you all deserve the best of the best too!
Each of our home good products are disinfected and wiped down with clean products that strongly but safely do their job.
All of our edible goods and body care essentials are small-batch produced with meticulous attention to detail and ingredient transparency. Each item is handcrafted in a smoke free, sanitized and secure environment.
