Hello from the OBX! 🌊

This year I finally did something different. No working until the sun goes down. Just Milly, family, and the beach.

She is almost 10 and after losing Jib I promised myself I would stop taking moments for granted.

Also seeing pups that actually live here wearing our Duck N Donuts collar made my heart so happy. That design was inspired by these exact trips, the Duck Donuts, the ocean, all things duckie. It is becoming a permanent part of Wildside starting next spring.

Back to orders September 21. Until then we are soaking every single second of this in. 🐾

P.S. All our handmade collars are marine grade stainless steel. Your beach dog will never see a rust stain. Ever.

Dog parents, you know the struggle 😭

Swimming, allergies, itchy skin… sometimes having a Golden means constantly trying to keep their skin happy.

Our friend Lexi sent us sent us their Itchy skin blend and we’re so excited to put it to the test. Since we are headed out for our annual beach trip to the OBX tomorrow!

And the scent kit?! Such a fun way to add some nose work and enrichment, especially when we’re traveling and need to tire these pups out mentally.

Today we remember the dogs who left paw prints on our hearts and never really left us.

Jib, you were my once-in-a-lifetime dog. You were the beginning of so much, including Wildside, and your paw prints are woven into everything we do. I miss you every single day, and I always will.

And Tahoma, even though our time with you was far too short, you changed me. You made me a better person and taught me things I never knew I needed to learn. You showed me that the length of time we have with someone doesn't determine the impact they can leave behind.

You were loved. You mattered. And you always will. ❤️

Some dogs get to grow old beside us. Some are only with us for a chapter. But every single one leaves something behind: memories, lessons, love, and a piece of our hearts.

Today, we remember you both. 🌈🐾

It’s National Park Week 🌲 and today is also the National Park Service’s birthday! 🎂

110 years ago, the NPS was created to help protect some of America’s most incredible places so we can enjoy them for generations to come.

And honestly, that’s why I’m okay with our dogs not being allowed everywhere. There’s a reason these places need protecting.

But they can still bring a little piece of the adventure home. 🐾

9 years ago, I had no idea this dog would make me start a dog gear company. 🤍

I didn't set out to build Wildside. I just couldn't find gear that was durable enough for Jib's adventures AND cute enough to match his personality.

So I made it.

Almost a decade later, I'm still here, carrying his legacy forward one collar at a time.

Look, Jib. We did it. 🤍
