f you’ve been following us for a while, you’ll recognize Gunnar Barrera from photos reaching back years. If you’re new around here, meet Gunnar Barera — a friend of Path Projects since the beginning, and living proof of the power of stacking bricks.

After a casual start to running back in 2009, Gunnar worked his way up through local 5ks, half marathons, and the LA Marathon. But it was tackling R2R2R in 2020 that really cemented his love for ultrarunning. Since then his running CV has grown to include Mammoth Trailfest 50k, Speedgoat FK, the Avalon 50 Mile, and more.

But it’s not just about the objectives. “A big part of my motivation comes from progress and the people around me,” he says, “Watching my friends work toward and achieve their goals pushes me to stay consistent.”

Welcome to Team MNTN TSTD, Gunnar!

Since we introduced the Century Shorts back in June, they’ve quickly become an employee and customer favorite, hitting that sweet spot for both casual weekend adventures and big mountain objectives alike. Just a few pairs of Jet Black remain, with limited inventory in Fjord Blue. These won’t be restocking until next year, now’s your chance to give them a try.

Last month, athlete Greg Sissengrath (Greg Sisengrath) realized his dream of lining up at the Hardrock 100.

With multiple 100+ mile races under his belt, Greg was up for the challenge as he set off from Silverton — but these races have a way of throwing the unexpected our way and pushing us beyond our limits.

Swipe to see more of Greg’s debut effort at Hardrock.

Greg Sisengrath is living proof that it's never too late to fall in love with running (or tackle multiple 100-milers).

After getting into running as an adult, Greg's passion and drive pushed him across the finish line of an impressive run of 100+ milers: Western States, Cocodona, and Leadville among them. Most recently, Greg took on Hardrock for the first time — check back tomorrow for the full recap.

Greg's love for the sport extends beyond his own goals, helping other runners through Team Ninja Coaching where he promotes a balanced approach: a healthy and sustainable relationship with the trail, balancing running with cycling, strength training, and yoga. "Don't get caught up following someone else's training," he says, "Everyone is on their own journey."

Welcome to , Greg!

26 miles into the Leadville 100. Dan LaMorte just came through Outward Bound looking strong and moving well.

He took one fall along the way, but thankfully nothing bad. He’s feeling good and actually had to slow himself down a bit. Still a long way to go with 74 miles ahead at altitude.

His friends and family have been a rock-solid support team, getting him fueled up and back out there.

And they’re off. The Leadville 100 starts now. 100 miles through the Colorado Rockies, almost entirely above 10,000 feet, topping out at 12,500 feet on Hope Pass.

We’re out here documenting, crewing, and pacing our friend Dan LaMorte as he takes on this long and epic adventure.

Stay tuned for updates along the way. Let’s go, Dan!
