I’ve stopped saying Happy Mother’s Day as it’s not always a great day for everyone. Maybe someone who wanted to be a mom isn’t (for any number of reasons). Maybe your mom has passed, or you’re estranged. Maybe you raised yourself. Maybe you never wanted kids, but family keeps pestering you about it. So today, thank you for being you. Thank you for waking up every day and doing what you have to. Thank you for being strong, beautiful and funny. Thank you for being someone else’s blessing, whether you know it or not.

I'll be honest. This is one reasons I decided ultimately to shut down the store. Your life is worth so much more than making other people money, especially when other people have no loyalty or honor to you. None of us will ever get missed time back with our families and loved ones, so take the time while you still can. It's one of the best decisions I ever made. 🥰

Hi all! It’s come to my attention that there are people attempting to sell the products I sold in the past, and are using me, my reputation and my medical status to boost their own shops. I won’t be naming names, as a matter of respect. Simply said, I closed my store because I wanted to, not because of any medical reasons. I’m fairly open about my breast cancer journey, so I’m not sure why people tried to use it for their own gains, especially when 1) I’ve never spoken to them, and 2) they are totally incorrect with their gossip. That being said, I just hit my SIXTH year of being cancer free 🥰, so I’m doing just fine. And I’ve also been loving teaching and not being involved in the drama and backstabbing that unfortunately, this industry attracts. Unless, I specifically say it, please don’t think I support anyone who uses my name to promote their businesses. It sucks that I even have to post this message, however, sometimes it has to be said multiple times.

Hey y'all! Friendly reminder - my store is closed. 😊If you were able to order something, you have to let me know so I can refund it (because I may not have it) or so that I can send it to you. I do not check my system anymore, so I don't know when orders are in there. In the meantime, I may do a pop up in the next week or so, but for now, I'm still closed. (But I thank you for still thinking of shopping with me.) P.S. I know this video is old, but it's always on point!

The Happy Trails Sale

Over the last two years, I’ve gone back to spending more time teaching and helping people create custom garments. I’ve come to realize that I absolutely love doing both, and I’ve decided to make a new transition in my professional career. So, in a very bittersweet decision, I will be closing down the store, and will focus on teaching bra making, putting on sewing events and creating custom garments. Sweet Cups Custom Designs was my original business, and now, I'm circling back to where I began.

That being said, I need your help clearing out my supply room. Most items will be 30% off (sale excludes B,Wear patterns and anything in the Scrapbox) using code “HAPPYTRAILS” at checkout. Turnaround time for processing your order could take up to 14 days, and all sales are final.

There are several people I want to thank for always being my rocks. Donna Whittaker – my first lady (inside joke), Dale Hoffman – the sister I always needed, Melissa Eubank – my Cali counterpart, Sarah Selvaggi Hernandez – my non-sewing soul sister, Kathryn Clayton – my business buddy and BFF for life, and the biggest THANK YOU to Bodil Friman. Without her, I don’t know how I would have made it these last few years. Bodil, thank you for always sharing your wisdom, humor and expertise. I love you for it! What we all do together is so much more than just sewing a garment; we are a real community.

I am very excited about this new/old adventure I’m going on. These last 5+ years, I’ve been so lucky to be a part of your lives, and I’ve been honored to serve you. So, a very happy trails until we meet again….
