I’ve gotta admit, I’m feeling pretty frazzled today. Waking up to an earthquake was NOT how I imagined my day going yesterday.
Hoping today goes better. At least my mug believes in me. 😉

Today was day two of staying home. I am not good at being a homeschool parent. It is so different than what I am used to, and it is uncomfortable.
When I’d had enough and just had to get outside, I decided to go out and work on cleaning out my garden boxes.
As I was out there pulling out all of last year’s weeds 🙈, it got me thinking about the victory gardens they grew during WWII. It was something relatively simple that they asked everyone to do for the greater good of the whole world.
I am so far from a master gardener, and I hope that I get even a few things to grow well, but I’m definitely calling my garden this year my victory garden. It’s something, other than my ineptitude at homeschooling, that I can focus on while I am having to stay at home for the good of the world.
This stage of flattening the curve is like putting seeds in the ground. All you can do is hope that you planted at the right time and provided the right conditions. You just have to wait and see, and hopefully it will be enough. @ Salt Lake City, Utah

This feels especially true today. We’re living through something that people will read about in history books someday.
I am trying to slow down and lean into the experience. Parts of it are easier than I thought it would be, and parts of it are harder. It is what it is, though, and we are all in it. So let’s all live aloha and make some change.
