The Grand Canyon holds a special place in my heart, as I’m sure it does for many of you.

It was devastating news to hear the Dragon Bravo fire tore through the North Rim of Grand Canyon last year, right before my dad and I’s scheduled bucket list trip to hike rim-to-rim, north to south. It’s even more devastating to see the effects of the flash flooding this week on the canyon and lives of those affected, especially after a tough year of recovery and restoration.

We’ll be donating 100% of the profits of our Grand Canyon designs to Grand Canyon Conservancy | Nonprofit Partner to help with the after effects of the flooding. You can purchase stickers, puzzles, posters, stationery and more on our website. We’ll keep this going and be giving back until further notice.

These places nurture us, and it’s important we do our job of nurturing them back. 🤍

The end of August 🫶🏽✨

This August was such a gift—a way to reconnect with my adventurous side, get out on the trails and move my body, send my art all across the world, stand in awe of the earth’s beauty, spark inspiration to create again, and stretch personally & professionally as I continue striving to build Roaming Heart into its full potential.

Being a businesswoman, entrepreneur, adventurer, artist, family member, friend, and many other things can sometimes be complicated to juggle. One day I’m waking up before the sun to hit a trail and the next I’m glued to my computer for 12 hours. Some days I’m on a stage sharing about Roaming Heart’s journey and other I’m in the trenches and wondering if I’ve made a mistake by pursuing a career path that I’m making up as I go.

But the point of it all—and of life— is that it’s supposed to be an adventure. It’s supposed to be a challenge. We’re supposed to stretch and grow and cry and create and love and explore. We were born to have a roaming heart. 🏔️

Grateful for the energy August brought and excited to keep creating in September 🤍

Let me know what you loved about August & what you’re looking forward to in September!

My newest design of Mount Timpanogos, inspired by my latest summit ⛰️✨

The first time I hiked Timp was with my dad just 2 weeks after I started college. It was my first mountain summit and I was in awe of the views.

After my last summit earlier this month, I couldn’t help but take the inspiration that is so tangibly surrounding you on the trail and turn it into something to hold onto, remembering the journey. The lupines and the mountain goats, the open blue sky and the sun beating down on you as you inch closer towards the peak, I wanted to create something that captured it all, and here it is. ✨

If you’ve hiked Mount Timpanogos, what was your experience like? Does this design resonate with you and the memories you made?

Let me know if you’d like this new design available as a sticker or print! 🏔️

Bryce Canyon does something to you that I still can’t fully explain. The hoodoos glow a different color every hour. At sunrise they’re almost pink. By midday they’re burnt orange. At golden hour the whole canyon looks like it’s on fire from the inside.

I spent a lot of weekends at Bryce during college, sometimes just to sit at the rim and watch the light change. The Thor’s Hammer formation was always the one that stopped me. One thin column of rock holding up all that weight, somehow still standing after millions of years of freeze and thaw.

That’s what I tried to capture in this sticker. The hoodoos, the Indian Paintbrush blooming at your feet, the feeling that you are standing somewhere that has absolutely no obligation to make sense and is more beautiful for it.
