We are thrilled to bring back the award-winning modern classic, Zooloretto by Rio Grande Games this week! You may have seen it in our collection of Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) winners. It’s also won a Golden Geek Award several others so we though it deserved an encore. If you love strategic tile-placement, adorable animal themes, and just the right amount of competitive tension, this is a great game to try. Come play Ticket to Ride, a game that helped launch the board game revolution! Designed by Alan R. Moon and published by Days of Wonder this colorful, easy to learn, and very clever game has been one of the original "gateway games"for more than 20 years. And part of it's staying power is the many variations that are available. Guest hosts Don and Tom will have several on the tables Monday night while Sean and Jake take a week off for trips of their own. Come by 2 Row Brewing this Monday, grab a pint, and see why this one game did so much to bring board gaming back into the spotlight.

Our featured game next week is Rebirth. Designed by Reiner Knizia and published by Mighty Boards, it's a strategic eurogame set in a lush, hopeful future after a global civilization collapse. Players act as rival clan leaders working to restore the ruined lands of Scotland or Ireland in harmony with nature. Rebirth is also this year's Kennerspiel des Jahre winner! Tacta is a sleek, modern abstract strategy game designed by Jason Tremblay and published by The Op Players flip, twist, and rotate cards to align and cover their opponents' shapes with matching squares, triangles, and rectangles as the board changes and expands with each turn. Featuring cool minimalist components the game requires clever positioning, resource management, and foresight offering zero luck and maximum player strategy. The game takes 5 minutes to learn and typically plays in under 30 minutes with every move directly impacting your opponent’s options, creating tense and engaging play.
