This was a honey bee. The pollen on her legs came from dandelions. Her tongue is sticking out due to the poison that she ingested which was meant to kill the dandelions.

It’s spring, dandelions are among first foods that honeybees find available on warmer days when they come out of their hive. Please remember that what we see as weeds, nature provides as food.

If you absolutely must spray these important weeds, please at least wait until after there are other food sources available to bees—towards the end of June. Until then, there are many more weeds than flowers or fruit trees, so it's their only food source.

No bees, no fruits and veggies…it really is just that simple.

ARTIST is British farmer, ROBIN UPTON, who uses 600+ squash and 100+ varieties! This is so beautiful and so impressive.

UPDATE: huge response to this post. Mark Ford sent a U-Tube video, check it out. Mark is the current installer. Although this is a beautiful display, it is an actual fruit/vegetable stand and the product is sold, with money going to benefit a different charity every year.
