Digging into the Tall Poppy archives 💐

Lauren + Andy, 2021. Coming up on their five year anniversary this October! Where does the time go…

Somehow, over the years, I’ve managed to photograph and receive so many beautiful images from weddings I’ve never actually shared here. I’m making an effort to change that and revisit some of the very special days I’ve been lucky enough to flower.

Lauren was also kind enough to send these photos to me years ago when I asked past couples for images of their flowers, so it feels especially overdue that they finally make it onto the feed.

Still very much in love with all of this color.

By request, I got another go at the Valentine’s Day designs I created earlier this year. Still very into this combination of soft anthurium, lilies, and a whole lot of red. ❤️

I’ve been playing around more with lighting and different sets lately. I’m a complete amateur when it comes to all that jazz, so if you’ve got any tips, I’m all ears. 👂🏼

I wanted to see how this arrangement felt in different settings and how the light changed the colors. It’s always fascinating to me how certain tones and textures come alive depending on the environment.

The last slide is a color palette pulled from the arrangement. It’s a little glimpse into the colors that stand out to me most when I’m choosing flowers and thinking about color and composition.

Which setting is your favorite? I go back and forth constantly 😂 excited to keep improving my skills lol 🌸Sam
