🦒✨ Day 2 Recap. Africa Edition! 🌍
Today our artists traveled to Africa through art and created incredible cheetah projects using watercolor, oil pastels, bubble wrap printmaking, and handmade cardboard stamps! 🐆🌿🎨
Who knew bubble wrap could make such perfect cheetah spots? Creativity was everywhere today, and we loved seeing each artist make their project uniquely their own.
We can't wait to see where our artistic journey takes us tomorrow! ✈️🌎

🦒🌍 Day 2 of our Around the World Art Camp took us to Africa!
Today's artists explored several fun art techniques as they created their cheetah masterpieces. We painted colorful watercolor backgrounds, used bubble wrap printmaking to create the cheetah's spots, added details with oil pastels, and designed cardboard stamps to print leafy patterns throughout our artwork. 🌿✨
Every project is a chance to try something new, and our artists did an amazing job experimenting with different materials and techniques today!

🌎🎨 First day of Art Camp in Laredo!
Today our young artists began their journey Around the World. We tie-dyed our camp shirts, started our self-portrait passports, and made our first stop... Mexico! 🇲🇽✨
The creativity was flowing as students began sculpting their clay sun projects inspired by Mexican folk art. We can't wait to see these colorful creations come to life!

Today I visited the beautiful, Otherworld exhibition at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, and I was completely amazed. 🌿✨
Every installation was breathtaking and created such a unique experience throughout the garden. There was one piece in particular that I absolutely adored and couldn’t stop admiring. Can you guess which one? 👀🎨
As an art teacher, I love seeing art experiences like this that transform familiar spaces into something magical. A huge thank you to Patrick Shearn for bringing these incredible large-scale kinetic installations to San Antonio. Every piece was beautiful, inspiring, and worth experiencing while it’s here.🌿✨🎨

And just like that... summer has officially begun! ☀️🎨

The classroom is packed up, the boxes are stacked, and another incredible school year is in the books. From art projects and GT adventures to performances, art shows, yearbooks, and countless memories, it has been a busy and rewarding year.

Now it’s time to trade the classroom for summer camps, creativity, and a little bit of sunshine. Here’s to making art, making memories, and enjoying every minute of summer break!

Laredo Kids Deserve Art This Summer 🎨
There is not much elementary art offered in many Laredo schools, and we want to help change that through creativity, imagination, and real art education.
Our summer art camps are more than just painting on a canvas. Young artists will explore a variety of art materials and techniques while learning the foundations of art in a fun, welcoming environment led by a certified art teacher.
