Because the moment you step down to someone else's level and start moving the way they move, you are not just lowering your standards, you are putting everything you have been praying for at risk. Your blessings are connected to how you carry yourself, to the energy you put out, to the choices you make when you have every reason to retaliate and you choose peace instead.

And that is not weakness, that is wisdom. It takes a far stronger person to walk away from evil with their hands clean than to match it and feel justified in the moment. Justified does not pay bills. Justified does not bring healing. And justified does not protect the favor that is moving quietly in your direction right now.

Let them have their nastiness all to themselves. Let them sit in that energy, marinate in it, and deal with everything it attracts back into their life. That is not your portion and it never has to be. You have too much good coming your way to contaminate your path by stepping into something that was never meant for you to carry. Protect your peace, protect your character, and protect every blessing with your name on it by refusing to let someone else's darkness pull you out of your light. You do not have to respond to everything. Some battles are not worth the blessing they would cost you to fight.

Because sometimes all it takes is one person to say it and actually mean it. You have been carrying so much for so long, showing up every single day even when you had every reason not to, pushing through things that nobody around you even knew were happening, smiling when you were breaking, functioning when you were falling apart, and still somehow making it to the other side.

That is not small. That is not ordinary. That is the kind of strength that most people will never fully understand because they never had to dig that deep just to survive a Tuesday. You didn't just get through it, you got through it while still trying to be good, still trying to be kind, still trying to hold it together for everyone else around you. That deserves to be acknowledged.

So if nobody in your life has stopped long enough to tell you, let this be that moment. You are doing so much better than you give yourself credit for. The fact that you are still here, still trying, still choosing to keep going even on the days when giving up felt easier, that is everything. Be proud of that.
