We know many bought Plumeria plants a month or more ago from us or another Nursery that were planted in Coco Coir. For the ones who didnt remove the coco coir soil which is what they are usually shipped in nowadays . The plants can come in with a small root structure. Alot of us were afraid to water for fear of over watering as Coco coir can stay wetter than traditional potting soils . So we used this one as an example or sacrifice of not watering alot and continued up till now. The plant made roots to the bottom as you can see. So why does the plant look so bad. Little to no water made it to the bottom to where the bigger roots are. Check your plants roots by carefully taking the pot off or look at the bottom of the pot to see if any are there. If you see them you should water heavy one day, lighter the next carefully watching the soil making sure its drying out before the next watering. I will happily help any one here at Fanicks if you would like to bring in your plant for evaluation. Just call to make sure im here that day and ask for Mark. This weeks vegetables list. Growers are running out so there are limited amount on hand so don't wait as this is prime planting season for these plants. September will start the cool season crops so leave some room. Restocking is Wednesday thru Friday.
