I used to sell Honda's for years but thought if I put so many hours into a job it really would be nice if it was for my own business. I didn't tell anyone what I was doing except my son and I had a roommate at the time. I started designing and after purchasing about 20 towels my son said " aren't you getting carried away, maybe you should see if anyone is interested in your towels before you go ov
erboard"! Come October, still designing, my girls where asking me what I was doing, if I had found a job yet. I decided to tell them what I was up to. I know all of them probably thought I was nuts but my daughter Lauren voiced it. She said "Oh no mom, no, no ,no, go get a job. You need a job!" Lol I didn't respond and get plugging away not telling anyone what I was doing. I finished my product and sent a video to my girls and all of them instantly texted/called and said Oh my goodness, amazing and the one who said "no,no,no mom go get a job said "Mom, you need to be on shark tank, this is amazing:) Haha. I still did not tell anyone or sell any but went straight to my Attorney and started a Patent on it. I knew there was nothing anywhere near this out there. I have had a patent pending on it since January and I started producing them. I had my first trade show in Tampa Florida and was overjoyed by the GREAT response! If I had a dime for everyone who told me I should be on shark tank and that I was a genius I'd be a millionaire already. I know I have something so unique. I love going to the pool and unrolling my towel and sitting down and enjoying my visit like you should! I make all these myself and run the business myself. I now do believe those on shark tank when they say they work 18 hours plus 7 days a week. I've had days that I haven't even slept, but it's all worth it. I love what I do now. I have hired recently 2 seamstress' to help me out as I can't keep doing it all. I have several u=hundred towels in inventory with another 800 in the making! I can't tell you how excited I am to be helping others to enjoy their pool/beach visit. I am also giving a portion of my sales to Child Trafficking. This has been dear to my heart and I not only want to contribute financially but also personally. Thank you again for reading and sharing about Apricari! and my adventure. The Lord has truly blessed me:)
