So, a day after my last market, and I am lying here in bed thinking of this one potential customer who came by my stall. He looked like he just came out of a time machine from the 1980s—a young man reminding me of my teenage brother— not my normal demographic. He was very nice and polite— looking specifically at my handmade cards and giving compliments and asking questions, like “how long had I been doing this?” I kinda stuttered trying to come up with an answer—it hasn’t felt like that long but that’s because I am always seeking to reinvent myself or find something knew.
I realized I have been selling now for about 16 years, but of course, creating for far longer. I think I started making jewelry back in high school.
While, I have evolved into learning a number of different crafts: embroidery, crochet, weaving, paper crafting, one thing is for sure—I am still learning more and have the desire to learn more!!
Watch out for new things to come over the summer time as I jump into some new areas! Can’t wait to see where the journey takes me!!
