The Nintendo GameCube really was on an unbelievable run. ๐Ÿ”ฅ One system gave us chaotic kart races, legendary party nights, unforgettable adventures, and some of the greatest multiplayer games ever made. Looking at this lineup is basically a speedrun through gaming history. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐ŸŽฎ

From the incredibly rare Pokรฉmon Colosseum Bonus Disc to late-night Super Smash Bros. Melee tournaments, soccer mayhem in Super Mario Strikers, the atmospheric masterpiece that is Metroid Prime, and friendship-testing laps in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, this display is stacked from top to bottom. Which one are you grabbing first? ๐Ÿ‘€

Two Xbox 360 troublemakers on the counter and Sephiroth looks like heโ€™s trying to figure out which one causes more chaos first: getting sent to detention in Bully: Scholarship Edition or launching a car through San Francisco traffic in Driver: San Francisco ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ“š

Bully has that perfect Rockstar-era โ€œjust one more missionโ€ energy, where you start off trying to behave and somehow end up sprinting across campus, dodging prefects, and causing a problem in every hallway. Driver: San Francisco is its own kind of weird, slick arcade driving fun, the kind where the city feels like one giant stunt course and every chase turns into a movie scene you absolutely did not plan correctly ๐ŸŽฎ

Itโ€™s a very specific Xbox 360 shelf mood: late-night menus, chunky green cases, weirdly memorable licensed soundtracks, and games that still feel fun because they were allowed to be a little odd. Sephiroth is simply here to judge your driving record and your attendance record at the same time ๐Ÿชฝ

๐Ÿ“ Swing by our 1604 & Bandera location to check them out in person, or call 210-682-GAME and weโ€™ll hold one before someone else grabs the keys.

The early 2000s were absolutely fearless when it came to licensed games. Somebody looked at Toy Story, Tarzan, The Lion King, and skateboarding and said, "Yeah, put all of that in one game." ๐Ÿ›น๐Ÿ˜‚

Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is one of those wonderfully weird PS2-era releases that feels like it came from an alternate timeline. Buzz Lightyear doing tricks, Simba hitting ramps, and Tarzan somehow becoming part of a skateboarding adventure? Nobody questioned it. We just played it.

Meanwhile, Sephiroth has apparently decided that becoming the One-Winged Koopa wasn't enough. Now he's standing next to a Disney skateboarding game like he's about to drop the most dramatic kickflip in gaming history. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ›น

We're not saying he'd yell "Supernova!" before every trick, but we're not *not* saying it either.

Some games exist because they make perfect sense. Others exist because the PS2 era was pure chaos, and honestly, we're glad it was. ๐Ÿ˜†

๐Ÿ“ Swing by our 1604 & Bandera location and discover the kind of games that make you stop and say, "Wait... this was a real thing?"

๐Ÿ“ž Call 210-682-GAME if you'd like us to hold something before it rolls away.

Sephiroth has spent the last 15 minutes staring at Monster High: New Ghoul in School like he's trying to figure out which class teaches world domination. ๐Ÿข๐ŸŽ“

Back in the Wii U days, games like this were everywhere. You'd walk into a store looking for Mario Kart and somehow leave with a game about attending monster school because the cover art convinced you it was a good idea. ๐Ÿ˜†

Now it's sitting on the shelf waiting for its next adventure while Sephiroth quietly plots to become valedictorian, student council president, and final boss all at the same time.

๐Ÿ“ Stop by our 1604 & Bandera location and see what other wonderfully random finds are hanging around the store.

Some rivalries never die. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ”ฅ

For a lot of gamers, the Sega Genesis version of Mortal Kombat wasn't just another port. It was *the* version. The one that fueled playground arguments, sleepover tournaments, and endless debates about which console did it better.

Then Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 showed up and somehow turned the chaos up even further. More fighters, more secrets, more ridiculous combos, and enough fatalities to keep everyone passing the controller around for hours. If you knew the button inputs by heart, you were basically a celebrity in your friend group. ๐Ÿ˜†

The Genesis itself still has that unmistakable look too. Just seeing one on a shelf is enough to hear the startup sounds, remember blowing dust off cartridges, and relive the era when Sega's entire personality was "we're not Nintendo."

Meanwhile, Sephiroth has positioned himself next to Mortal Kombat and appears to be waiting for a challenger. We strongly advise against accepting. ๐Ÿขโš”๏ธ

Whether you're building a Genesis setup or revisiting one of the most iconic fighting game eras ever, this combo is pure retro gaming history.

๐Ÿ“ Stop by our 1604 & Bandera location and take a look at the classics waiting on the shelves.

๐Ÿ“ž Looking for a specific Sega game, console, or accessory? Call 210-682-GAME and we'll check what's in stock for you.

There was a very specific window of time when Def Jam was putting rappers into fighting games, and somehow it worked way better than it had any right to. ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿ‘Š

Def Jam Vendetta and Def Jam: Fight for NY are still some of the most talked-about licensed fighting games ever made. Wrestling mechanics, over-the-top brawls, packed rosters, unforgettable soundtracks, and enough attitude to power an entire PS2 memory card. If you were around for this era, you probably spent way too much time creating a fighter, picking sides, and trying to survive another brutal Fight for NY street battle.

These are the kinds of games that make people stop in their tracks and go, "Wait... I forgot how good those were."

Meanwhile, Sephiroth appears to have claimed ownership of both copies and is currently acting as head of security. We have not approved this promotion, but nobody seems interested in arguing with him. ๐Ÿข๐Ÿ˜ค

Whether you're revisiting a PS2 favorite or filling a gap in the collection, these are the kinds of titles that remind you how wild gaming got in the early 2000s.

๐Ÿ“ Swing by our 1604 & Bandera location and see what other forgotten PS2 legends are hiding on the shelves.

๐Ÿ“ž Looking for something specific? Call 210-682-GAME and we'll gladly check availability or place a hold for you.

Some game lineups make absolutely no sense together, and somehow that's exactly what makes them perfect. ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ˜‚

You've got Deadpool cracking jokes every five seconds, Homer Simpson stumbling his way through Springfield's weirdest adventure, and Kratos spending two full games reminding the entire Greek pantheon that anger management was never an option.

This is peak PS3-era energy. Back when every game felt like it was trying something completely different. Licensed games were still taking big swings, remastered collections were giving classics a second life, and your game shelf probably looked just as chaotic as this one.

The Simpsons Game especially feels like a time capsule now. It's packed with references, parody levels, and the kind of humor that could only come from that era of the show. Then sitting right next to it is God of War Collection, bringing two of the most legendary action games ever made to a new generation. And of course Deadpool shows up just to make sure nobody takes any of it too seriously. ๐Ÿ˜†

Honestly, this might be one of the most random and entertaining three-game combinations we've seen in a while.

Which one are you starting first? ๐Ÿ‘€

๐Ÿ“ Stop by our 1604 & Bandera location and browse the shelves for your next nostalgia trip.

Breath of the Wild gave us a lot of unforgettable characters, but Revali might be the only one who could save Hyrule and roast you at the same time ๐Ÿฆ…๐Ÿ˜…

Love him or hate him, Revali had confidence for days. While everyone else was offering encouragement, Revali was busy reminding Link that he thought he could do the job better. And somehow that attitude just made him even more memorable.

This lineup is packed with Breath of the Wild collectibles, including a massive Revali statue flanked by Zelda and Link amiibo. Whether you're building out a Zelda shelf or hunting down pieces from one of Nintendo's most celebrated games, this is the kind of display that grabs attention instantly โš”๏ธโœจ

The Virtual Boy might be Nintendoโ€™s biggest commercial flop... but itโ€™s also one of the coolest pieces of gaming history you can put on a shelf ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ‘€

Released in 1995, the Virtual Boy was Nintendo trying to bring players into a 3D gaming experience years before VR became a buzzword. The technology was ambitious, the design was unlike anything else on the market, and the whole thing looked like it arrived from an alternate timeline where the future was painted entirely red.

It didnโ€™t last long, but thatโ€™s exactly why collectors love it today. With a small library, a short lifespan, and one of the most unique designs Nintendo has ever released, the Virtual Boy has gone from infamous failure to must-have conversation piece.

And honestly, every retro game room needs at least one item that makes people stop and ask, โ€œWait... is that a Virtual Boy?โ€ ๐Ÿ˜†

Orange Spice GameCube and Metroid Prime might be one of the most early-2000s Nintendo combinations imaginable ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿš€

Back when Metroid Prime was first announced, a lot of fans werenโ€™t sure about Nintendo turning Metroid into a first-person game. Then it released and immediately became one of the most celebrated games on the entire system. Exploration, atmosphere, world-building, boss fights... Retro Studios absolutely nailed it.

And that Orange Spice GameCube? Still one of the coolest console colors Nintendo ever made. Originally released in Japan, it became one of those imports that collectors were always trying to track down long before importing retro hardware became as common as it is todayโœจ

Throw in the Metroid Prime bonus disc and you've got a setup that feels like a snapshot of peak GameCube era gaming.
