What to shop when it comes to fridges! Here’s a GOOD fridge we recommend that can easily last 10+ years without any issues if taken care of.
As appliance technicians ourselves when we shop we don’t go with brands anymore, we go with some of the models that brand makes. There’s TWO types of fridges, one very mechanical and one very electronic.
The more mechanical any appliance is the longer it’s going to last you.
The more control boards the more problems down the road and for a much more pricier repair!
This model on these pictures in our opinion can easily last 7-10+ years without any issues. Life wise if taken care of can easily last anywhere from 15-20+ years.
Maintenance is BIG when it comes to your appliances life span.
GE is a good brand in both washer, dishwasher, fridges and wall ovens.
But again, all depends on MODEL.
Not all models made by that brand of appliance are mechanical. Many incorporate up to 3-5 different control boards that each in its own way communicates with one another to regulate things as cooling, defrost cycles and small things as air fans, led lights and inverters 3.3amp that kick the compressor on for cooling rather than having a more simplified starter relay 120v price wise mechanical is always more DURABLE and more inexpensive to repair.
If you are interested in a good fridge, this model at Lowe’s or Home Depot is GREAT for this price!
The ICE MAKER this fridge has can last easily a good 5-7 years without an issue and in most cases even 10+ years.
Unlike the Samsung ice makers on the top left corner of a (3 door fridge) design can be very problematic and even at times break within the first year of purchase.
Samsung is however fixing a lot of their issues on the ice makers but some batches are not resolving the problem due to other errors popping up that play with the ice production.
Don’t get me wrong,
We personally LOVE their Front Loading Washers and dryers.
We personally think they are the best and can easily last 15-20+ years without any issues or problems if you take care of your appliances! 😊👍🏻
