I’ve been trying to write this post for two days, nothing seems right. I can’t quite believe that this community I’ve chosen, so willingly chose me back.
YOU absolutely crushed it.
You showed up.
You shared.
You told your friends.
You rallied harder than I ever could have imagined.
And because of you… Court of Gamers is still here.
I have been beyond overwhelmed in the most possible way. The love, the messages, the support, the stories I have heard over the past weekend…. Well, let’s just say it has been genuinely life-changing. Not just for the store. For me.
Thank you will never be enough. Words will never fully express the emotions I’ve had.
But, on the tail end of all of this happiness, I do want to say something very important.
We saved the store. But the reason we needed saving in the first place is because we weren’t consistently hitting weekly sales goals.
The emergency is over.
The mission isn’t.
I am working on restocks, I am working on bringing in fresh inventory. I am working on making Court of Gamers feel alive and exciting and full again.
But small businesses cannot just survive on rescue moments.
They survive on steady community.
So please. Keep talking about CoG.
Keep tagging us.
Keep bringing friends.
Keep choosing to shop local when you can.
We put out of the fire.
But the woods are still surrounding us, and dried wood is the best tinder.
But, I don’t want Court to just survive.
I want to see her thrive.
Thank you, for fighting for this place with me, for continuing to choose me and mine.
Now, let’s build something stronger than what we almost lost, together.
Sondra.
