We recently added a 3D printer to our fleet. Mainly to assist with jigs and parts for our lasers! And let me tell you..this thing did not disappoint!! 17 hour print for this display.

Did y’all know our butcher block slabs start as a 6 ft × 25 in solid slab of wood?

From there, we cut each one down to the size you need—which means we aren’t limited to standard cutting board sizes! Whether you want something smaller for everyday use or a larger statement piece for your kitchen, we can customize the size to fit your needs.

But the process doesn’t stop there! Once each board is cut, it goes through multiple rounds of sanding to create a smooth, beautiful finish. We then round the corners before preparing it for the engraving process.

Once the engraving is complete, each board is treated with food-safe mineral oil, applied in several coats to help protect and condition the wood. After the board has had time to dry, we add the feet to the bottom—and it’s finally ready for its new home!

These butcher blocks go through quite the process from start to finish, but we take the extra time and care because we want every board leaving our shop to look and feel as good as the memories it’s made for.

We had the pleasure of attending the 2026 Next Level Laser Conference in Grapevine, TX, at the beautiful Ga***rd Texan Resort!

We’re so excited to bring home everything we learned and put it into practice as we continue creating unique, high-quality products for you all. We’re always looking for ways to improve, learn new techniques, and take what we create to the next level!

And we’re THRILLED to announce that we’re coming home with an xTool Omni UV Printer!

We can’t wait to start experimenting, creating, and adding even more possibilities to what we can offer you all. This is such an exciting new addition for AC Crafthouse.
