I wish this wasn’t true, but it is.

For long periods of time, I don’t share much of what I’m doing unless you’re part of my inner circle.

And as I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized there’s actually a blessing in building quietly.

When less people are watching, you have room to mess up. To change your mind. To improve. To learn something and realize you were completely wrong. You don’t have the pressure of explaining every move, answering everyone’s questions, or listening to criticism from people who don’t even understand what God put on your heart.

Not everything needs an announcement.

Some seasons are meant for planting, not showing the harvest.

The Bible talks so much about humility, guarding your heart, being careful who you seek counsel from, and understanding that spiritual warfare is real.

Ephesians 6:12 reminds us that our struggle isn’t simply against flesh and blood. And that’s something I’ve had to learn personally. The enemy doesn’t always show up looking like the enemy. Sometimes distraction, discouragement, comparison, doubt, offense, or even the wrong voices can pull you away from what God is asking you to build.

That doesn’t mean we become suspicious of everyone or think everyone who disagrees with us is against us. It means we stay prayed up, discerning and humble enough to keep asking God for direction instead of needing everyone else’s approval.

Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

So I’ve learned to pray about it.
Work on it.
Make mistakes privately.
Get better.
Stay humble.
And let the fruit speak when it’s time.

Jim Rohn taught that when you work on your goals, your goals also work on YOU. And I think that’s one of the most beautiful parts of building something. Sometimes God is doing more work in the person you’re becoming than in the thing you’re trying to build.

You don’t need everyone watching you while you’re becoming her.

Stay humble. Stay teachable. Stay close to God. Keep working when nobody is clapping.

There will be a time to share the testimony.

But first, you have to live it. 🤍

So many new faces have joined us lately, so I figured it was time to reintroduce myself. 🖤

Hi, I’m Amalia — the owner and founder behind Brazen Beauty Academy + Brazen Beauty Aesthetics.

But Brazen is only one part of who I am.

I’m a business owner, educator, beauty industry girl since 2015, HUGE animal lover 🐾, and most importantly, a child of God. ✝️ I genuinely believe that every door that has opened, every door that has closed, every hard season, every lesson, and every bit of growth has had a purpose.

Brazen started with lashes, but somewhere along the way it became so much bigger than that.

Today, we get to help women learn real skills, earn their licenses, build careers, gain confidence, and sometimes completely change the direction of their lives. And THAT is the part of this business that means the most to me.

And none of it happens because of me alone.

I have an incredible team of women behind Brazen who teach, mentor, answer the million questions 😂, encourage our students, take care of our clients, and help me bring all of my crazy ideas to life. They are a huge part of what makes Brazen, Brazen. 🖤

If you follow me here, you’re probably going to get a little bit of everything…

Beauty education. Business ownership. Behind the scenes of running an academy + aesthetics business. The wins AND the “what the heck are we going to do now?” moments. 😂 Animals, because obviously. 🐶🐱 A little faith. A lot of big ideas. And hopefully some motivation to go after the thing God put on your heart even when you have absolutely no idea how you’re going to pull it off.

I’m still learning. Still building. Still dreaming way too big.
