Shooting Safety Rules
ALWAYS TREAT EVERY FIREARM AS IF IT IS LOADED! ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot. ALWAYS keep the gun unloaded and secured until you are ready to shoot. AR500 Steel Target Safety
ALWAYS inspect the target for damage, functionality, stability, etc. BEFORE shooting. ALWAYS wear hearing protection and appropriate eye protection when shooting or
observing. ALWAYS place the target on a flat soft surface free of rocks or other debris. ALWAYS shoot perpendicular to the target. ALWAYS shoot standard CENTERFIRE ammunition that has a muzzle velocity of less than 3000 fps at 100 yards! AR500 Distance Requirements
ALWAYS stand at least 10 YARDS from the target when using HANDGUN Calibers. ALWAYS stand at least 10 YARDS from the target when using SHOTGUNS. Bird shot or Buck shot. (LEAD ONLY!)
ALWAYS stand at least 100 YARDS from the target when using CENTERFIRE Rifle Calibers. AR500 DONT’S
NEVER use CENTERFIRE rifle calibers on targets rated for HANDGUNS only. NEVER shoot BB’s, Steel Shot, or Air Guns at AR500 targets. NEVER use Armor Piercing, Steel Core, Green Tip, or other types of Penetrator ammunition with targets. NEVER shoot on targets that are Pitted, Cratered, or Damaged in any way.

As always, Shoot at your own risk, Shoot responsibly and take all necessary precautions to be safe. ATR Targets strives to manufacture only the highest quality targets. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied, simply return it within 14 days and we will happily refund your purchase price. ATR Targets stand behind their products. If anything should occur with normal use of the targets, ie. broken welds, cracked or broken gong hooks or some other manufacturing defect, simply return the defective product for an exchange. Shooting a target with ammunition it was not intended for or with a higher caliber than it was rated for would be considered misuse. I apologize, but misuse cannot be covered. It is the owner of the targets responsibility to ensure a safe shooting environment and that all rules and regulations are followed. Centerfire Ammunition will mark the target surface with each impact. This is expected and is considered normal wear and will not be covered. AR500 targets last and last, however, they will eventually crack after many impacts. This is normal wear and will also not be covered. Replacement Targets, without the head connector, are for sale at reasonable rates so that you can continue enjoying your purchase. SPEED KILLS TARGETS! We do not recommend HIGH VELOCITY AMMUNITION! If you are not following the guidelines it may damage the target surface and render it unusable or worse cause bodily injury. Always follow the guidelines set forth and maintain safe shooting distances. ALWAYS use ammunition that has a muzzle velocity of LESS THAN 3000 fps at 100 YARDS!
