Confession time: I made this sweater in full 3️⃣ times! I love it that much 🥰. Ready for the backstory?

First let me introduce you to the Duna Sweater designed by the uber talented Maria of . The details of this sweater are in the stitches and shaping, shape of the neck (it scoops just slightly in the front so it doesn’t ride up your neck), the tapered sleeves, (no bulk at the underarm), and the raglan design.

Now for the backstory… why did I make it three times you ask? I have tested for Maria many times, once you make one of her designs you are hooked! So this one was a no brainer, of course I had to apply. Made sweater number one and noticed, as many of us did, that the sleeves were way too bulky. Mentioned this to Maria and being the professional designer, she went back to redesign the sleeves. She let us all know and we decided to remake a second time. So I crocheted a new version by “frogging on the go” from the old sweater. After blocking I noticed the sleeves were still bulky, but not as bad. Again since not all of us were 100% satisfied with the look, she asked if we could be patient and rework up a new version. I was on board. But since my past yarn was blocked twice (and I will still wear the 2nd version), I opted for a new yarn for the third one.

This version is perfection, the detailed sleeve shaping is just genius! Maria’s dedication to getting you a design that will fit precisely is why she is one of the top crochet garment designers out there.

For us Crocheters what better way to celebrate than a pattern release?

The lovely Mariana has the one for you… the Serena Tee. This beauty has the prettiest raglan styling with a mesh stitch perfect for the upcoming warmer days. There are customization options with the neckline, length and more. Mariana’s instructions are so well thought out and easy to follow, you’ll have this one done in no time!! Plus she has a “pay what you like” pricing…keeping in mind she put a lot of work into this design.

I highly recommend choosing a 100% Bamboo yarn, sport or light dk, for a gorgeous drape fabric. Trust me, I tried a 50% bamboo and it didn’t work or look right.

Pattern: Serena Tee
Designer:
Yarn: must use Bamboo! I used Truboo in the color Sienna
Size and customizations: Medium (39” bust), edging neckline and added a few rounds to the sleeves before ribbing, added3 sts to the hem ribbing.

Where I live we have mild winters so this cowl with a cardigan or jacket is perfect! Plus it isn’t bulky.

Isn’t she lovely? This is the top portion of the Serena Tee in the Truboo color Sienna.

Isn’t this raglan style unique? Mariana designed the sleeves/yoke with a mesh stitch pattern and a simple bodice. So farm I’m in love with how this yarn is working up.

The Forever Ruana pattern is now available from Anastasia .

Confession time - I never knew I would love this style so much. I’m not a fan of “vests”, for my wardrobe. But this style I can wear!

It’s so beautiful with open and puff stitches. You can make it as long or cropped as you like. Check out to see all the tester versions.

Guess what else, she is making it in my luggage and joining us on vacay next week, Aloha 🌺.

Yarn is “Feels Like Butta” from in Teal.

Looking for the perfect cardigan for all seasons? Well I got you… the Liminal Cardi pattern, designed and written by Mariana has just dropped!

You may be asking, why is it perfect? First off the classic design has just the right amount of texture to wear everyday. The fit, style and ease of the pattern are all top notch. The pattern is written so well with easy to follow instructions in all the sizes (busts from 27”-62”). Mariana thought of all the details, from the post stitch ribs to the unique cuff/hem ribbing.

I could go on and on, but you need to see for yourself!

Pattern: Liminal Cardi (available on Ravelry and Etsy)

Yarn: “Cotton to the Core # dk yarn in Almond Tan color-way (purchased through Amazon)
