Hi team! We are going to keep our physical doors closed today to make sure none of our staff (and hopefully none of you) is trying to ford any rivers (formerly known as taking the freeway). We will miss seeing your shining (dripping) faces, but we will be back open tomorrow (Friday!) and, in the meantime, you can browse our wares on our w3bs1t3! Did you know you can order something now and we can ship it out tomorrow or have it waiting for you to pick up? Magic!

Back by popular demand, it’s matchmaking for the bookish crowd 2.0. Now new and improved, we are facilitating friendship as well as romance AND we are partnering with our business buds over at Serpentine C***r so that you can, if you’d like, get a little boozy while you mingle!

Episode 11 of the Meet Cute BookPod is available for your ears!

Becca chats with Mel Saavedra, the CEO and Founder of Steamy Lit, a company that produces a quarterly book subscription box called The Steam Box, 5% of the profit from which is donated to a rotating non-profit, and that is gearing up to run this August’s Steamy Lit Con in Anaheim, CA. You’ll hear Mel talk about how SteamyLit got started, how she picks the books she includes in the box, a little behind the scenes on the making of special edition book covers, what possessed her to run an entire romance book convention and, of course, some books she’s loved recently.

Heads up! Meet Cute will be closed Easter Sunday due to a family emergency. Sorry all! Happy Easter and Chag Pesach Sameach. We will be back open regular hours Wednesday!

02/11/2023

We’re closing a smidge early today (Saturday 2/11) for our event! Open until 6:30.

Shop small next Saturday with us! Local bookstores and niche bookstores are about community and connection. We’re places to gather and places to organize. We run bookclubs and fundraisers and host author events. We will chat with you for half an hour to find exactly the right q***r enemy to lovers read for your current mood (This is actually one of our favorite tons to do—please ask our booksellers for recs!) We’ve *loved* being officially open to shout about books in store and online these past (checks notes because surely it’s not only—) two months and we hope to keep doing it for a long time! We hope you love it too! Ty for your support!
