Welcome, we are a British owned Food & Gift shop specializing in goods from the British and Emerald Isles, based in San Diego, CA. For our out of town customers, browse and shop from our website. Reservations are required for all afternoon tea bookings with 24 hours notice please. For our cream tea customers, we can take reservations on the day only.

We join millions across the United Kingdom and around the world in celebrating the Official Birthday of His Majesty King Charles III.

Few desserts are more beloved in the United Kingdom than Ambrosia Devon Custard and Ambrosia Rice Pudding. Produced in Devon, England, Ambrosia has been a household favourite since 1917, earning its place in generations of British homes. Made in the heart of the English countryside, these comforting classics have long been enjoyed as simple puddings, warming desserts, and nostalgic family treats.

Devon Custard is rich, smooth and creamy, perfect poured over puddings, cakes, fruit crumbles and traditional British desserts. Ambrosia Rice Pudding offers a wonderfully comforting taste of home, made with milk and rice for the classic flavour generations of Britons grew up enjoying.

This month we are celebrating an incredible milestone as Shakespeare’s Corner Shoppe is recognised for 25 years in business and receives a proclamation from the City of San Diego. Thank you to every customer, friend, and supporter who has been part of this journey.

We are also delighted to introduce Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Blend, our newest tea. A fairy poetic blend where black tea mingles with garden favourites, creating a floral, velvety cup with a gentle sweetness worthy of a Midsummer Dream. DJ is back to showcase another incredible section of Shakespeare’s Corner Shoppe, packed with authentic British favourites imported straight from Great Britain.

From proper British currie sauces and packets and iconic cereals, like Ready Brek and weetabix to traditional jams, frozen favourites and bakery classics, this area of the shoppe is filled with the flavours of home.

Featuring authentic British bacon, sausages, Soreen malt loaf and so many hard to find classics you simply cannot get everywhere else.

This freezer section is also home to our homemade pies, pasties and sausage rolls, freshly prepared with pride and packed with traditional British flavour.

A proper taste of Britain right here in San Diego.
