The Vital Surfing | Global Surf Missions crew took some Faro Surfboard Bags south bound a few months ago and scored the goods! A normal occurrence for these guys…

I always look forward to dropping off bags Freeman Street Surf Studio

Paul, the founder, has built the kind of surf shop you don’t come across every day. . .

A vibrant mix of boards, art, books, fins, and objects that somehow all make perfect sense together.

The kind of place that’s not cluttered, but curated.

Where every board on the rack feels like it has a story behind it, and many of them do.

Paul’s knowledge of surfboards runs deep, and the racks are lined with local heros and some of the most sought-after boards in surfing.

It’s less of a retail store and more of a reflection of the people, and ideas that Paul genuinely believes in.

You can find FARO on the shelf (thanks for the support, Paul), but more importantly, you’ll find a thoughtfully curated shop that’s worth experiencing in person.

If you’re in Oceanside, San Diego, stop by 🤘

For us, the job isn’t finished when a product launches. If anything, that’s when the real work begins.

This is the story of how a small detail made a good bag better.

This month’s Wave Sliders Journal features Jesse Ivers , our Pacific Northwest sales rep and a big part of the FARO story.

Jesse has helped introduce FARO to surf shops across the region, but what I appreciate most about Jesse is that he puts community first.

In an industry increasingly driven by numbers, Jesse understands that strong brands are built on strong communities.

Thanks Jesse for being part of the FARO team and I hope y’all enjoy the read 🤙🏽🙏

PS - find the full blog entry on the FARO website.

Special thanks to our Pacific Northwest stockist!

A long-period south swell is beginning to show across California this week.

On World Ocean Day, it feels like a timely reminder that we’re fortunate to spend time surfing, sailing, and camping in and around something so much bigger than ourselves…

Today, and every day, we try to keep that in mind.

Happy World Ocean Day.

Streets, trails, harbors.
Different paths to the same destination…

Surfboards are for riding waves.
Board bags are for finding them.

This Greg Liddle has been sitting in a FARO bag for months, waiting for the right day to emerge.

The last time I rode it was on an off-season south swell that lit up some points around Southern California.

Today’s waves were slower, taller, and maybe not the obvious choice for a hull.

Still, the feeling was there: long bottom turns that loaded up the flex fin which sling shot you right into a steep end section waiting down the line.

She’s back in the bag now, waiting for another day…

Slide 3 shows the handwritten dimensions marked on this board, I’m curious if anyone has insight into how Greg (or whoever shaped this one) recorded these dimensions because they are outside of the normal L x W x Thickness dimensions.

Popped into yesterday to check up on stock before the holiday weekend…Here are a few photos captured from around the shop.

Shot on an old Canon digi-cam.

PS: If you buy a board (and a bag) will not be as grumpy as he looks in this first photo!
