As a mom to a child with food allergies, she wanted to write a book that could help other kids understand this topic and empathize with others who may feel left out for various reasons.

And 100s of personally hand-dipped cake and marshmallow pops later, Bella donated $100 to her chosen charity the Helen Woodward Animal Center yesterday!

This year in her business brought the opportunity to decide how to best serve customers at a Farmer's Market location a few times. She thought about pricing, packaging, deals, cake/marshmallow pop design, booth decor and how to attract/talk to customers. We are so happy to see her sort through these critical decisions and adjust on the fly.

What also cracked me up is her insistence on doing it all herself. I so much as peeped in with a word at the booth and she shot me a sideways glance, later telling me, "Mom, pleeease, I got this!"

As a continued aspect of her beloved baking business, she chooses a charity to donate her profits to each year. The first half of this year was all about animals: one of her favorite topics aside sweet treats. Last year she donated to Helen Woodward Animal Shelter too and learned that her money would go to help expand the shelter to house more strays. Yesterday we got a tour of the new facilities and wow will they be able to help so many more animals!

We made an appointment again to learn about where her donations may best help this time. While Bella ultimately decided she wanted her money to go directly to adopted animals, check out her video in which she shares with everyone the amazing other programs the shelter supports to better our community. Did you know about therapeutic riding for those with special needs, Critter Camp for kids or Animeals that supports low-income pet owners?

And 330 personally hand-dipped cake and marshmallow pops later, Bella donated $100 to her chosen charity the Helen Woodward Animal Center this holiday season!

This meant sometimes not playing and baking on weekends, but where there’s a will there’s a way! She invited friends to share the fun, hired her brother and played lots of holiday baking music. She’s a total elf!!

Bella loves animals and asked about where her money will go. Turns out Helen Woodward in breaking ground on a new facility next month that will allow them to go from roughly 3,500 annual adoptions to closer to 8,000! It’s an amazing no-kill center that takes on animals from other shelters. Bella was so happy! We are blown away by her dedication to a great cause, and how she strives to ensure every customer feels appreciated. Thank you all for supporting her with your orders!!
