We’re kicking off San Diego Comic-Con this year with the amazing Patrick Horvath!

Patrick will be joining us for a FREE in store signing on Wednesday July 22nd, New Comic Book Day, to celebrate the release of Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees and Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring in hardcover!

The signing will take place from 3-5pm at Now Or Never Comics (1055 F St, San Diego, CA 92101), less than a mile away from the convention center.

We couldn’t ask for a better start to our Comic-Con week. Swing by, snag your new books, and meet Patrick Horvath before heading over to the con for Preview Night!

Oh no…

Seeing more of these wanted posters pop up around town. Rascal Randy was last spotted in the pages of Exquisite Corpses, one of our favorite books of the last year. He’s got his own mini series starting July 8th, courtesy of the all star team of Tyler Boss, Dylan Burnett, Jordie Bellaire, and Becca Carey. Hopefully we know his whereabouts by then.

New additions to our gaming section! Nice stack of Marvel United, most still sealed in the original shrink wrap. All are complete, and it looks like the open ones were never played. Super cute miniatures, and several of these sets appear to be Kickstarter exclusives.

We’ve been adding TONS of new stuff to the shop lately: toys, games, comics, trades, you name it. Summer traffic is already picking up, and Comic-Con will be here before you know it. You can find these just at the top of the stairs!

Hey gang, it’s New Comic Book Day! We are just 5 weeks away from Comic-Con, but you don’t need to wait until then for comics because we’ve got books RIGHT NOW.

We’ve got Absolute Batman AND Absolute Green Arrow this week, plus a 2nd printing of Absolute Green Arrow 1 in case you missed it! We’ve got 3 Spidey books, and 3 Punisher appearances, including a Spidey / Punisher / Hulk crossover in Spider-Man: Long Way Home by Hickman and Kubert! We’ve got the 2nd issues of shop favorites Odin, If Destruction Be Our Lot, and Of the Earth! Plus 1st issues for Concrete, Gun Honey, Hellboy, Land of Never, Trillion Dollar Kid, and What If…? pairing Thor with the symbiote suit!

Add in 2 more Marvel x Magic the Gathering variants (Squirrel Girl is very good), reprints and facsimiles (including Silver Surfer 4, a strong contender for best cover of all time), and trades for everything from Nancy to Red Hood (she could take him), and you’ve got a heck of a week for new comics!

We’ll be here from 11-7 today. Swing on by, or drop us a line if you need anything! And with Comic-Con right around the corner, now is the time to get us your preorders for that week! If you’re someone that usually waits ‘til the last minute to send requests for specific books, we’ll need more notice than usual so we can prep for the SDCC rush. Keep an eye out for more Comic-Con updates, including announcements for the in store signings and events we’re hosting!

It’s Marvel Day (June 6th, 616, you get it) but wouldn’t you know it, I have ZERO Marvel pics prepared. So, let’s call it, uhhh, Tank Girl Tuesday! Yeeeeeah, that’s the ticket. My plan all along was for this to be Tank Girl Tuesday to share these back issues we just picked up. 3/4 issues from her 1st mini series, 3/4 issues from her 2nd mini series, and a handful of her more recent IDW issues. In the New Arrivals bins, happy Mar— I mean, happy Tank Girl Tuesday to you!

We’ve been putting out a ton of toys lately, getting those showcases stocked for Comic-Con! Carded figs, loose figs, vintage stuff, new stuff, a little bit of everything.

Here’s just a few of the things we’ve added to the shop in the last few days: complete MOTU Turbodactyl, high end Metal Gear Solid figures, MEGO KISS doll, Jack In the Box Star Trek cups, cheap Power Rangers, Mario Karts, MONDO Iron Giant soft vinyl figure, 30+ Marvel Legends, 18 new in box Mezco, and plenty more!

We’ll be adding new toys every single week right up until SDCC. Keep an eye out for vintage Joes, vintage He-Man, vintage Star Wars, a bunch of Batmobiles, Hot Wheels, and literally more Starting Lineup than we know what to do with!

Keeping Up With the Jonestowns is a 40 page one shot dark comedy comparing the corporate work place with cults, written by SoCal based Joe Bastian.

This is our last scheduled signing before Comic-Con. Come on out and support local creators!
