What I Do Wednesday 💻

A lot of people see the fun side of owning a vintage shop: the treasure hunting, new arrivals, styling the store, helping customers find that perfect piece, and all the beautiful things on the floor.

But there’s also a whole lot that happens behind a computer.

Most mornings, I’m working on our social media calendar, creating content, building the employee schedule, processing payroll, bookkeeping, banking, answering emails, communicating with clients and vendors, and planning all the details that keep Bad Madge & Co. running.

Monday and Tuesday are technically my “off” days—but if you own a small business, you know there’s rarely a true day off. Those are usually my catch-up, planning, sourcing, and computer-work days.

Small-business ownership means wearing a lot of hats. Today’s hat: woman with a laptop, a coffee, and approximately 47 tabs open. ☕️💻

Tips with Tanya Tuesday ✨

Today I’m showing you how we use Howard’s Restor-A-Finish to bring a Danish Mid Century cabinet back to life! This easy little refresh helps hide minor scratches and brings out the beauty of the wood without a full refinish.

We used the Walnut stain with a bit of steel wool, then wiped it off with a paper towel for a gorgeous result. Don’t forget to wear gloves and always test it out on your furniture first to make sure it’s the right fit for your piece.

The cabinet turned out fantastic — just a simple way to give your furniture a fresh new look!
