Starship/Kansas/Deep Purple last night, but the no original member Starship no showed, so extra time in the lot for beverages. The 6:30 start time was sort of silly anyway.

No original member Kansas was actually spot on, crazy tight, fun to hear all the 70’s tunes that you took for granted, damn these guys shredded back in the day.

And it was time for the 80 year olds, opened with Highway Star and that would have been great if that was all they played, but they kept going. Gillian on key all night, no detuning, “new” guy on guitar was tight AF (Guinesses shredded as hard as any Shrapnel 80’s instrumental song!), Glover & Paice locked in, and Airey might be better than Lord tbh, included the whole keys solo running through a Marshall head (!) into Hughes Ketner & Leslie rotating cabs.

Did you pick out the Mr Crowley line in there? Yeah, he did that… 😎

New fave band alert - High Fade © from Edinburgh blew the roof off the Voodoo Room San Diego last week, they’re like the mutant child of Slayer/Specials/Paul Gilbert meets Earth Wind and Fire.

But you knew that when you saw the pink SUHR tele, kilt and boots though…

Night 4 of at The Forum, been like 30 years since I’ve been here for a Warriors/Lakers game, hasn’t changed a bit lol.

New drummer fit right in, insanely huge shoes to fill, she did great! They played a little too much new s**t (defined as: anything after Moving Pictures) but hey, I got Xanadu and all of 2112, who am I to complain? 😂

A random thread of coffees and assorted other snacks procured from vending machines and 7-11’s walking around Japan a couple weeks ago…I’m not sure I can explain how awesome it is to have the option to grab a hot coffee for like 75 cents every 20 feet or so

Crazy awesome experience, 4 stories of nada but Fenders, order your own custom guitar kiosks, I think all the signature models on display.

Which is crazy, for a company that can’t bother to show up for NAMM anymore 🤷‍♂️
