Gobble Bauble 🦃

This one started as a challenge from my friend Kim, who dared me to design a “gobble bauble.” I couldn’t resist adding a little whimsy to all our favorite holiday traditions this season.

Autumn Sampler Basket (2 of 8)
This piece is a more modern take to the sampler tradition with letters scattered across the background instead of lined up in a row.
Alphabet samplers were traditionally used to practice stitches and letters, but I wanted to do something a little different, so I let the alphabet fade and scatter through the background, "like it's fading with time". Mixing that with a little autumn floral basket ties two classic cross stitch traditions together in a more updated style.

Happy Earth Day! 🌍🌸 I want to wish you a “Welcome to My Garden” today of all days. This piece just makes my heart happy — the birds, the blooms, the sweet house surrounded by all that life. Yesterday was “National Cat Lady Day” and I couldn’t let it pass without showing you Momo. 🐾 Those eyes say a lot: pet me, feed me and love me. He’s my morning alarm, my chair companion and all around a good friend. 🤍

Happy National Draw a Bird Day! 🎨🐦
To celebrate, I’m sharing one of my favorite market releases: Funky Bird. This piece started as a simple sketch in my sketchbook before I brought it to life with needle and thread. There is something so satisfying about seeing a drawing transform into a finished stitched piece!
