Is the joy of thrifting officially over? This ain’t it guys 😩

Hit a few local thrifts yesterday and only one had reasonable prices. I got a pair of jeans for $8 and new shoes for $8, but the prices seen here were at the local where I walked away empty handed due to the insane pricing

As far as reselling goes, there’s zero chance I would be able to buy things at these prices to resell. Is that the point here? Unfortunately, I think the only people who are hurt by this strategy are the folks shopping for themselves

It can be a challenge, but just breath!

I find a large amount of buyers make purchases with their eyes. Solid descriptions can be great for SEO; however buyers love detailed photos. Also, some potential shoppers will ask very general questions to make sure the seller is active and responsive. As irritating as it can initially seem it’s good to take a step back, breath, and get excited that someone is interested in your listing!

Am I missing something here? (besides tape) Maybe there are different size options? I really don’t know, but this is your sign to pick up products manufactured in the “days of yore”. Tape can technically “go bad” so check it, but I’ve never had an issue with picking it up. Just check and make sure it’s not overly yellow or dry and save yourself some money.

Let’s break down the size difference:

2014 tape:
3/4 in x 650 in
18 yards of tape

2019 tape:
3/4 in x 300 in
8.33 yards of tape

That’s an over 53% decrease in tape!
