Working on a project that energized me today, inspired by Frazer Point in Winter Harbor, Maine. This piece is loosely based on a photo I took at a family picnic at sunset I had when I was home for a visit a couple of weeks ago. The air was crisp and fresh, and the dark silhouettes of the spruce and fir trees were in stark contrast to the soft pink and blue sky that held violet, moody clouds.

I tried something new with this piece, adding a colored layer of wax pastel to bring texture and saturation to the pinks and oranges of the sky, as the colors were beautiful that night. Next step: sealing this puppy!

A lil’ about me 🙂 I’m Liv and I’m an artist🎨My work (like me) is inspired by nature, wellness, and community. My journey as an artist and human has introduced me to supportive people & communities, gorgeous landscapes that leave me in awe, and outlets that have provided peace in times of stress/overwhelm (making art, hiking, playing music, beach combing, etc:) 🌊 🌼🌿🥾🎨 🎶

I’ve learned so much about myself in the past few years in my transition from being an art student in college to moving across the country from Maine to California with my now husband🌞 Navigating life as an artist, teacher, wife, nature-lover, anxious girly, cat mom, and so many other identities all rolled into one 🫶🏻I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. I continue to learn & grow, meeting kind people along the way and discovering new corners of the world that make me feel seen, in each/all of my shapes and forms🌼🌿
