After 57 years in Ocean Beach, this isn’t just a business—it’s a legacy.

The Black was built on grit, loyalty, and doing things our own way. That's the OB way.

My intention was to retire. The response from the community meant more than I can put into words and gave me reason to pause and rethink things.

Before closing, Peter approached me about carrying it forward. After careful thought, I agreed he was the right person to take it into its next chapter—bringing his own vision while respecting what this place has always been.

To everyone who supported us, walked through these doors, and kept it OG from day one—thank you.
