It’s been a few months since I’ve posted here.
Life has looked a lot different lately. Between becoming a Texas girl, settling into a new home, adjusting to a new job, and navigating all the changes that come with a big move, creating has taken a back seat for a little while.
But art has always been the thing that brings me back to myself.
Lately I’ve been spending my evenings experimenting with oil pastels and getting back to the creative process that started Not Your Average Threads in the first place. Creating original artwork again has reminded me why I fell in love with making things by hand.
This little cactus series is the beginning of a new chapter—one where original artwork plays a bigger role in the designs and wearable art I create.
