For those of you 'Obsession' movie fans that was filmed at Cassell's Music, we now have a limited number of iron on shirt patches like the ones used in the movie for the employees uniforms. These are super easy to iron on your favorite shirt (cotton setting on your home iron for about 20 -25 seconds). You can get them on ebay. Go to ebay and search for Obsession movie shirt patch and you'll find it.

For those of you who have seen or are familiar with the blockbuster movie "Obsession" and the major role of Cassell's Music in it's production, you may find this post on IMDB interesting. It seems I missed out on a big deal......

"The role of Carter, the music store owner (played by Andy Richter), was originally offered to Ed Intagliata, the real owner of Cassell's Music. When Curry Barker and Cooper Tomlinson secured the store as the filming location, they told Intagliata that the role of the store owner had not been cast yet and would he like to play that part. Intagliata asked to see the script, he saw that one of the lines contained a curse word. He asked Curry if he could change it to a non-curse word due to his religious convictions and when Curry said he didn't want to change it, Intagliata turned down the role. Andy Richter was then cast."

For those of you who have followed our page for some time will remember that there was a benefactor named Robert P. who donated funds every month for 6 years to provide musical instruments for many deserving kids whose parents could not afford to purchase them. We called it the "Play It Forward" program. Every month for 6 years, he made sure no child would go without a musical instrument. As you know, I posted photos of them with their instruments here on Facebook. If you scroll through my posts, you will see dozens and dozens of smiling kids whose life was changed due to Robert's generosity. When I closed the store last July, I asked him "Can I finally let people know who you are?" He emphatically said "No" as he wished to remain anonymous. I got a call from his daughter yesterday that he passed away two weeks ago from a very aggressive brain cancer. I was devastated as he seemed like he was in good health and was only in his late 60's. After my heart attack in November, he would call me from time to time to see how I was doing. That's the kind of man he was. To those of you who benefited from his generosity, know that he did this out of the kindness of his heart without needing any thanks. He will be sorely missed. RIP, Robert. - Ed

Hi friends. I'm super excited about a movie that is coming out in the theaters on May 15th called 'Obsession'. It was filmed at Cassell's back in late 2024 and it has been getting incredible reviews. The ads for it are just now coming out on TV. One of them showing an actor wearing a Cassell's Music uniform was just shown on ESPN today. Believe me, you're gonna hear about this movie! Attached are some photos from the movie trailer that show the actors 'working' at Cassell's. Let me know what you think once you've seen the movie.

UPDATE FROM ED: I want you all to know that I'm doing fine thanks to the cardiac team at Kaiser. On Thanksgiving Day, I had a heart attack, and four days later underwent a triple bypass, open heart surgery. After six days in ICU, I was able to go home and spent all of December and January recovering. In February, I started an exercise regimen and have been faithful to it so that I may build up my stamina and strength and continue to live a long, fruitful life. My wife has been a Godsend to me, helping me with my recovery and diet which has allowed me to lose 25 much needed pounds. I miss you, my customers, and hope you are doing well and able to find the musical items you need. Will keep you updated from time to time. Ed
