From Long Beach to London 🎙️ Wish we were there! 💕 🥹

Giveon is a Long Beach, California born and raised R&B singer and songwriter known for his deep, instantly recognizable baritone and emotionally vulnerable approach to love and heartbreak. His breakout song, “Heartbreak Anniversary,” released in 2020, became one of his signature records, capturing the feeling of still missing someone long after a relationship has ended. The song earned a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Song and became a standout in his live performances.

His performance of “Heartbreak Anniversary” at Wireless Festival 2022 in London was especially memorable. Performing at Finsbury Park in front of a massive festival crowd, Giveon delivered the song with his signature soulful vocals, creating a surprisingly intimate moment within an enormous, high energy festival. Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson formed the trio in the early 1990s under the guidance of their father, Tito Jackson, and uncle Michael Jackson. Their debut album, Brotherhood, was released in 1995 on Michael’s MJJ Music label and became a major international success, selling more than three million copies worldwide.

“Anything” was their breakthrough single and showcased the group’s signature combination of youthful male harmonies, polished R&B, pop, and New Jack Swing influences. The song became one of the defining records of their career and helped establish 3T as one of the prominent young R&B groups of the mid 1990s.

Bruno Mars co-wrote and produced “All I Ask” alongside Adele and his production team, The Smeezingtons (Philip Lawrence and Brody Brown), during the sessions for Adele’s 2015 album 25. After abandoning an initial attempt at an upbeat song, the pair decided to create an unapologetically dramatic, 90s-style “diva ballad.” The song came together quickly in just a couple of days after Bruno started playing chord progressions at the piano, which inspired Adele to immediately jump in with vocal melodies. A famous sticking point during the writing process was the line *”while we do what lovers do”—*Bruno initially resisted the word “lovers” as unnatural, but Adele fought to keep it for its theatrical impact, and Mars eventually agreed she was right. Mars later recounted being stunned by Adele’s raw vocal performance in the studio, joking that her power in the booth was literally vibrating the water glasses in the room.
