My daughter performing the Vea Family tauolunga for Salome’s mother’s family. Salome’s mom is the eldest and Akesa’s father is the youngest. My Akesa is named after Salome’s mother Akesa Vea Mahina

So much emotions today. Traveled to St. George, Utah for my daughter’s first cousin Salome Mahina’s wedding (my daughter is named after Salome’s mom…so ‘Akesa lahi is her fahu! My daughter’s father is the youngest of the Vea brothers. Tradition is great and in our culture, it’s important to know where we stands.

Four on the brides left are her eldest sister and her first cousin. On the right of the bride are the groom’s 3 sisters and auntie!
