“Biodegradable, recyclable, or whatever, the truth is that disposable coffee cups are not always disposed of sustainably, causing massive impact on our environment.

Otto's Coffee Shop in Sevenoaks, Kent, decided to make a stand. During a month long litter rampage across the town they managed to collect 15,000 discarded coffee cups. And what did they do with them? - Throw them all over the floor of their popular coffee shop to demonstrate the sheer scale of the problem.

In what they dubbed 'The walk of shame', customers who requested a disposable cup would have to wade through the sea of used cups whilst those who brought their own reusable cups were served at the door.

Since May they now only sell to customers who have their own reusable cup. A bold move and one that will likely cost them but a price they obviously feel is worth paying to get the message across.”

What's the problem with traditional bandages? 🧐 They're made from plastic and end up spending the rest of forever in the ocean, the landfill, or as tiny pieces of plastic that get in our water and food supplies. This is just one reason why we love PATCH! 💚 And why we included them in the greenUP Summer Box! Here's a few more: small business, perfect for sensitive skin and those with allergies to traditional bandages, and they're vegan! We didn't know regular bandages weren't vegan?!
