Excited to share that I’m now a member of San Francisco Women Artists gallery SFWA ARTIST GALLERY! 😀 Today I visited the opening of their Abstract August show, and it did not disappoint. So much talent in one room! On view until September 4.

Grateful to be joining this welcoming community and looking forward to what’s ahead.

You probably don’t know if you should be sad or happy for me. Well, it’s complicated, so probably both. I was looking for a change for a while, because I didn’t like my full time job. But when it came so unexpectedly, I’m having a whole mix of feelings. I am excited for my new beginnings but also I couldn’t really sleep last night because of the underlying anxiety and deep distrust in the world.

The good thing, I got some severance and I can go on unemployment for a while. So, suddenly I can be a full time artist for a couple of months 🤩

I wasn’t ready for this so I will have to figure things out fast. I think of renting a studio space to do painting full-time. If you know any affordable art studio space around Cole Valley, Inner Sunset, Mission & 16th–19th St, please let me know.

If you’ve been curious about my work, this feels like a good time to point you to natalieora.art (link in bio as well). There’s a newsletter there too, if you want to know when new pieces are up. And if an older representational piece has ever caught your eye, email me ([email protected]) — happy to talk.

This week in my . The first three pieces weren’t that fast, to be honest. And it would take much more time to make them look finished. I more enjoyed the color layering on cardboard.
