12/21/2025
It’s 12/21 and it’s my birthday. Right now I’m getting a pedicure which feels like the perfect time to make myself a birthday post.
2025 was a very hard year. So much to say about it … too much really. While there was a few bright spots, for the most part, business has been s**t. Lots of pivots have been made because of it. I have a strong team now to support the next chapter and while that’s all easy to say, the transition from where I was to where I’m going has been and still is … I don’t even know what the word is? What is the word for overwhelming, exhausting, slow moving but still feels like exactly what is supposed to be happening and it’s both sucks and feels bright? Whatever - next year better be better! I work too hard and put so much heart into what I do, I just can’t imagine that another year where it’s so so hard. Plus, that’s fu***ng money that was stolen from me — — that has just laid a cold uncomfortable blanket over it all. I feel like I made some strides with it and now I’m in touch with the executive offices and a real human is helping me but big banks should be ashamed … how dare they put their lack of security and in general, poor systems, on the customers. We need to move back to putting money in our mattresses … ok I’ll stop bitching now.
As for my painting I had a big realization last month and decided I’ve given myself long enough to be on this quest … longer convo … but I’m done. I’m back. I’m going into 2026 feeling strong and ready to lean into the paintings that feel good to make.
Anyways, that’s all I got. I’m ending the year strong despite all the talk of hard stuff. I was listening to on and she said something like she knows when things are s**t something good is coming and I’m like YES exactly. So all the changes have been made and the space has been created for that new thing … I’m ready! It’s like when a director says “lights, camera, action” that’s where I’m at 🌈
