Been a Boards of Canada fan ever since I first heard them over 10 years ago. I pre-ordered this a few months back & it finally came it. It was a little tough not listening to it when I first came out but I just wanted to have my first listen be when my LP came in.

Only a couple tracks in right now but really digging it. To my ears it’s a little darker and sounds more high fidelity-there’s less sort of gauzy/fuzziness that appears on much of their early catalog.

Love the photo insert & additional “Hexi-disc.” I’ve always appreciated their encompassing aesthetic. The album imagery even echoes the darker tone of the record.

Ordered Susumu Yokota’s “Will” and “Sakura” via the Lo Recordings Bandcamp page and couldn’t be happier. These are very high quality pressings with great packaging, obi strip, limited colored variations, etc.

The label has reissued Susumu Yokota’s Skintone Label releases which is quite an extensive collection. Based on the quality of these releases I’ll definitely be grabbing more. As they are imports they are a little on the pricey side but given the quality IMO they are well worth it!

Copped this one from & it’s a classic! This is sort of contribution to the legendary Berlin Trilogy.

Pretty sure I first heard “Nightclubbing” from this record when “Trainspotting” came out. That film was such a cultural moment at the time-the music, the fashion, etc.

If you know my music you can probably tell this has been an influential album on me.

Speaking of tunes-I’ll be playing Wednesday night in San Jose with and $5 show starts at 7pm! Hope to see you there!

My buddy Joshua Williams gave me a mixed CD when we worked together at Trader Joe’s in the early aughts and one of the tracks that immediately stuck out to me was by The Black Heart Procession.

I finally got a chance to see them live last night Brick And Mortar Music Hall and picked up this fantastic record. I really love the moody, post-punk, kind of goth aesthetic of the band and their approach to music.

They played a bunch of unreleased material last night & mentioned they are hoping to release three new records in 2027. Definitely go see them if they’re coming to your town. Well worth checking out!
