Faunamade believes home is at its best when filled with natural, comfortable, and beautiful things f

Faunamade is the work of Meredith Swinehart—longtime Remodelista editor, former retail homewares buyer, and sometime interior designer to friends. She's also an animal lover who, while living in Philadelphia a decade ago and actively searching for a dog to adopt, was followed home by a pregnant, homeless street cat looking for a place to stay. The cat did stay—and, after prompting countless fruitless searches for good-looking pet stuff, became the inspiration for Faunamade. We believe you and your pets should both love the things you buy, and we hope you agree!

Is the Basket Bed hard? Will it scratch a table or surface? The simple answer, no!

The basket is made of soft, natural jute. It is firm but pliable—cats and dogs like pushing up against the bendable edges of the bed—and it will not scratch surfaces.

Truly the perfect bed for cats and small dogs at home. Our custom alternative-down cushion has a softly supportive fill that dogs and cats adore. It rests in a handmade, Fair Trade Certified jute basket that’s firm but pliable and perfectly sized to make pets feel "tucked in." Our Dark Gray Linen cover is a charcoal gray linen/cotton blend that looks great everywhere.
